3M™ is an American company that provides high-end materials and Engineering solutions. And one of the products it makes is night reflective High-Intensity Prismatic film or HIP for short
This night-reflective media is the same material used to fabricate directional signs placed on roads and highways. Not only is this material extremely robust and resistant to outdoor elements like rain and sunlight, but it also boasts high visibility and can be easily viewed even under low light conditions.

How Are Parking Stickers Applied?
Two different types of materials are used for printing parking stickers at Orchid Digitals.
We use a regular sticker which has glue on the lower surface for two-wheelers. This is because for two-wheelers, bike parking stickers must be affixed to the body. (The most common locations include the mudguard, the windshield, or the fuel tank).
Car parking stickers are manufactured differently. Here, the glue is applied to the front face (printed surface) of the sticker. This is because parking stickers need to be pasted in reverse from beneath the car’s windshield.
This reverse pasting also keeps the sticker safe from the elements such as dust, water, sunlight, etc. Moreover, it prevents the possibility of tampering with the sticker.

Our parking sticker design includes
Name of the housing society/commercial space
Your society’s name is the most prominent visual identifier of your sticker, and we ensure it is placed at the top of the layout. We use a heavy, bold font to make the society’s name easily readable and instantly identifiable.
Fancy fonts may look great from an artistic perspective, but a difficult-to-read font presents a distinct challenge on a three-inch sticker. Our design templates ensure easy identification and instant vehicular access.
Serial Number
One interesting element of our sticker design are the serial numbers located near the bottom of the layout. This serial number aids the Society Managing Committee in auditing the sticker supply.
When the society watchman delivers the stickers to individual flat members, he can log which numbers have been assigned to which individuals. For instance, the society register can indicate that stickers numbered 001 to 004 have been given to Mr Joshi, while stickers numbered 005 to 009 have been provided to Mrs Kulkarni for application on her vehicles.
Level of clearance — House Owner or Tenant
Large townships also consist of permanent residents and tenants who have taken premises on rent in the cooperative housing society. And while the permanent residents will be around for a long time, tenants may move out after a couple of years.
In this scenario, stickers can also be colour-coordinated to distinguish between long-term residents and transient members. Moreover, the stickers for the tenants can also have an expiry date.
Building/block/wing number
Besides the society name, certain situations necessitate identifying the names of individual buildings in a society’s wings. Large townships often consist of multiple buildings or phases, each hosting numerous vehicles.
In these cases, highlighting the building name becomes essential. This practice helps the security guard pinpoint the specific area or building block associated with a particular vehicle. Additionally, ordering stickers in various colours is also possible. You can colour-code your parking sticker designs for faster identification and minimal ambiguity/confusion.
Further Details and User-Defined Fields
Our parking sticker templates also enable you to add specific details such as vehicle registration number, flat number, and parking area.
These fields are left blank in the sticker design, allowing you to enter the information as needed. Please note that our stickers are constructed from weatherproof vinyl (not paper or plastic), so you will need a permanent marker pen to write on them.
While these fields can help you to input more granular data, you can also simply elect to leave them blank.
Alternatively, you may instruct us to input this data on our side. At Orchid Digitals, we utilise a Variable Data Software to personalise each sticker.
Simply send us an Excel file that includes the following data for each of your apartment members:
- Flat number
- Vehicle number
- Parking area number, etc.
We simply pull the data from the Excel file you provided and incorporate it into the parking sticker design. This feature allows for a very high degree of customisation in the sticker design.
There is one minor concern regarding the customisation of a parking sticker as described above. If a parking sticker is pre-printed with all the personal information of individual members, it must then be delivered to the corresponding member. If this sticker gets lost, recreating even a single copy with that member’s details could be quite cumbersome.
How a Parking Permit Can Help Distinguish Between Permanent Residents and Temporary Tenants
A significant proportion of the people living in large townships are tenants as against the more permanently residing owners. And in such cases, some societies opt for different vehicle parking stickers for each group.

Can You Order A Parking Permit Bearing Your Society’s Logo?

To proceed, please provide your original high-resolution logo file. You can usually obtain this logo file from the housing complex’s office-bearers or from the construction company that completed your building project.
Also, please keep in mind that we do not offer design services for new logos. The logo design file must be supplied by you. We will simply incorporate it into our existing templates to create bike and car parking sticker designs.
The Argument Against Circular-Shaped Parking Stickers
Circular-shaped parking stickers look much more attractive than their rectangular or square-shaped counterparts. But when it comes to security, function triumphs over form every time.
There are two distinct disadvantages when it comes to working with a round-shaped design:
- The society name becomes smaller: In our sticker design, the society name appears smaller when placed in a circle rather than a square. The curve of the circle limits the available space, necessitating a smaller font for this essential element of our parking sticker layout.
- Important information fields are excluded: We can include a lot of extra information in the corners of a square shape, such as the vehicle number, flat number, and parking area number. However, the curve of a circle restricts the design layout from accommodating these details in a circular sticker.
- The Night Reflective Sticker variant is not available in a circular shape. We are unable to cut circular shapes from Night Reflective materials. Our 3M HIP material is very thick and features embedded prisms—shiny, coated plastic pieces—that function like mirrors to reflect light. No. The regular stickers are just as robust and strong as their reflective counterparts. They are fully suited for the intended application and will get the job done. The only difference between the two variants is in the degree of visibility.
Most of our competitors supply paper or plastic stickers. We are perhaps the only vendors that manufacture laminated vinyl parking permits. This results in a very strong end product that will last for years together without degrading.

The serial number will be machine printed at our end. You can use a permanent ink marker to fill in details in the other two fields. Alternatively, you can choose to keep them blank.

100 stickers per category.
So if you order both bike and car stickers the minimum billing will be for 200 pieces (100 each). And if you need the tenant designs (for both, bikes and cars) in addition, the minimum billing will be for 400 pieces (100 each for resident bike, resident car, tenant bike, and tenant car).
Yes. Online payments are accepted at Orchid Digitals. In fact we try to finish the entire job online.
Once the artwork, media specifications, and number of copies are finalised we send across an estimate for the job. This estimate (in the form of a Proforma Invoice) will also contain an online paylink encoded in a QR code.

Once the funds are transferred, we process the job and the ship the same across to you.
